After one to two years in music classes, the young musicians are integrated into the bagadig. There they discover ensemble music and already participate in their first competitions : the bagadoù championships, the bombarde ensemble competitions, the solo bagpipe or drum competitions…
The competitions are also their first performances in front of the public, all similar to the performances put on for large events of the Quimper region : Festival de Cornouaille, Liviou ar re Yaouank, les Jeudis de l'Evêché...

Within the head of the celebration of the Bodadeg ar Sonerion Penn ar Bed federation, that took place Saturday May 16 th, 2009 as part of the departmental bagadoù contest in the fifth category. In total, there were 16 bagadoù and bagadigoù that presented a set of around six minutes of which there were two “ ton doubl” gavottes des montagnes imposés..

Bagadig KEMPER, managed by Pierre-Marie KERVAREC, wonderfully managed to get bring themselves up to third place behind Bagadig Plougastell (1 st ) Bagad An Ergue Vras (2 nd ) ; Bagadig Kemperlé, initially was first, before being disqualified .
